Work with American Farmers
Mission Number Three: Work with American farmers to grow healthier foods that work for them economically and benefit consumers’ health.
We must reduce our nation’s heavy reliance on monocropping, pesticides, and other conventional farming practices which have fueled the rise of ultra-processed foods and chronic disease while degrading the health of our topsoil and our environment. FoodFight USA supports the accelerated adoption of regenerative and biodynamic farming practices that prioritize soil health, maximize biodiversity, and produce nutrient-dense foods.
Learn about the basics of regenerative agriculture with “Rainn on the Farm”:
Our Work
- Conducting deep research into regenerative farming policies, practices and soil health initiatives.
- Working to help define, incentivize and scale regenerative practices such as no-till, cover crops, crop rotation, reduced pesticides, livestock integration, and composting.
- Educating state legislators and supporting policies that remove financial barriers and provide incentives for farmers making the initial transition to regenerative.
- Producing and distributing informational content designed to drive consumer awareness and demand for nutrient-dense foods produced by regenerative or biodynamic farmers.
- Exploring ways to introduce Demeter-certified products to U.S. consumers.

Our Wins
- FoodFight USA submitted public comments to the California Department of Food and Agriculture to help the department develop its final recommendation: Defining Regenerative Agriculture for State Policies and Programs.
- Our first “Rainn on the Farm” video has reached more than 150,000 viewers thanks to FoodFight USA Warriors Rainn Wilson and Mark Cuban, and The Biggest Little Farm stars John and Molly Chester.
