FoodFight USA Partners with After-School All-Stars to Boost Youth Nutrition Education

FoodFight USA is proud to announce that we have partnered with After-School All-Stars (ASAS), a leading national organization that provides free, comprehensive after-school and summer programs to low-income youth across 80 U.S. cities. Together, we’re empowering students with information and tools to make smarter food choices and live healthier lives.

As part of the ASAS Health & Wellness initiative, FoodFight USA has developed easy-to-read educational materials focused on three key areas:

  • How to read a nutrition label
  • Understanding ultra-processed foods (UPF)
  • How to find healthier alternatives

These resources were designed to be seamlessly integrated into ASAS programming. Chapters with a focus on health and wellness can easily print or project the materials for use in after-school sessions.

After-School All-Stars’s mission is to keep children safe and help them thrive in school and life, making this partnership a natural fit for promoting lifelong healthy habits. Their programs include health & wellness, STEM learning, visual & performing arts, career exploration, and academic readiness. ASAS currently has 18 chapters: Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Jersey, New York, North Texas, Orlando, Philadelphia & Camden, Puget Sound, San Antonio & Uvalde, South Florida, Tampa Bay, Toledo, and Washington, D.C.
